I’ve reached chapter 3 and character level 40 in Bravely Second and I find myself skipping most of the dialogue. There is almost no new content in this game and the story is rather dull and full of fan service.

28 hours into the Division and level 17 (I hear it caps at 30 in PvE?). Really enjoying myself, playing with partner and we’re just taking our time and exploring and experimenting.

I would love to see Takahashi make the next Xeno game with as deep of a story background as Xenogears had. We at least know that he had recently stated that if another Xeno game is worked on, it will not be open world, and there will be an interesting, and engaging story.

Yeah, the amount of backtracking was really bad in the first game too. In this game it feels worse since almost all of the content is recycled.

Really glad I gave up with Bravely Default. Pretty meh, overall.

From what i’ve read it wasn’t a drop in budget, but that the sequels they had planned fell through late in development and they tried their hardest to fit as much into the game as possible.

That said i’m really enjoying the game so far and have very few actual complaints about it. I think i’ll try to play the saga games after this.
