I played a bit of the beginning of the original Deus Ex GOTY edition on Steam, and lord, that hasn’t held up at all. Would I understand the story if I went straight to Human Revolution?

og DE only matters if you want to play Invisible War, HR is chronologically the first story in the series

Does Invisible War hold up in game mechanics and graphics? I heard it wasn’t a good game.

It doesn’t hold up to the other DE games, but it’s overall kinda fun if you’re into the lore. Also you can just break the gameplay if you want to skip the boring bits. It also has a femc with relatively good voice acting, and the Omar which are really the coolest group in the DE games.

So going by that trailer Hong Kong, Paris and New York will be some of the locations in the game.
