Nintendo Direct on 1/14/15

#21

They should change the company name to “Amiibo”.

#22

I’m not liking amiibo’s forced inclusion of what amounts to DLC.

#23

I’m browsing shady Japanese sites trying to find a NN3DS in the Japanese variety.

#24

Characters now have feet!

#25

damn what a time to be european eh

#26

#27

I never finished Awakenings but I am more than happy for another one.

#28

literally Puny Humans: The Game

#29

LOL at the meltdowns over the new 3ds

#30

My NN3DS JP NeoGAF thread was unlocked after the announcement.

#31

So what do guys think of this nintendo direct? At first it started really well with a new Fire Emblem, but things went kinda downhill with the whole amiibo crap, pokemon shuffle f2p and lack of new announcements. Also while Xenoblade trailer has pretty environments, the trailer was one big slideshow. Is the game going to be littered with framerate drops?

#32

It really wasn’t all that, but with the frequency of these things some just have to be the boring ones. The Majora’s Mask release date was a really nice surprise though, it’s less than a month away!

#33

Are people happy or angry? What are we rabbling about

#34

#35

I don’t click on bit.ly links. It’s how I keep safe.

#36

Damn, I didn’t realize how many games Nintendo has coming out

In the pipes:
Majora’s Mask
Wii U Zelda
Wii U StarFox
Splatoon
Wii U Yoshi
Xenoblade CHronicles X

That’s all coming out this year!

Nintendo really does need to re-calibrate their hardware deployment though. The amount of gamecube controllers they supplied was laughable. $20 adapters are selling for 60-100 on the scalper’s market. Now we’re not getting the regular models? Come on, man. Not cool.

#37

I think Nintendo STILL has issues with guessing how popular their products will be. They don’t want another eReader incident.

#38

I’m pretty sure they know just how popular they are. I think they have an obsession with forcing demand. Every fucking time. My friends and I had to wait outside a circuit city for like 2 fucking hours in the winter just to get the opportunity to get the Wii. It wasn’t even like, release day or anything. Just on a random weekend.

Just stock the fucking stores, NOA.

#39

Nintendo has traditionally been out of touch with their fans. I was going back and forth in my head on which model I wanted to buy before the Nintendo Direct started, but I suppose this makes it clear. If it weren’t for that promotion at GameStop where you can trade in your 3DS XL for $100 towards the price of the New 3DS XL, I’d most likely wait for a price drop, better colors, or perhaps a change of heart by Nintendo in releasing the New 3DS. But I don’t know, man, those two colors they’re releasing for N3DS XL suuuuck.

The new Fire Emblem looks nice!

Hey, Leo… sell it to me for $100.
